Eric Woollard White Joins CFF Board

Appointment of Eric Woollard White to the Board of Trustees

We are delighted to announce the Director of Round World Studios joins the Cornwall Film Festival Board of Trustees

With a background in journalism and public relations (OMNICOM GROUP), Eric founded a television production company in 2003 alongside the BBC Dragons Den panelist Peter Jones and co-created successful television formats for the ABC Network in the United States with Simon Cowell’s SYCO production company and Fremantle (AMERICAN INVENTOR) and for ITV and the BBC in the UK.

Since 2012, Eric has broadened his producing credentials in theatre, producing the UK Theatre Awards nominated HOPE in 2013 at Liverpool’s Royal Court and then progressing to feature films: FOR LOVE OR MONEY was released in 2019 and distributed by Myriad Pictures; and the feature-length documentary RONNIE’S was released by Abacus Media Rights in 2020 and premiered on the BBC. In television, Eric was a co-founding director of Devon-based Rock Oyster Media, and since 2019 the company has produced multiple food and cookery series for ITV.

At Round World Studios, part of the Round World Entertainment Group, Eric’s focus is on film and television finance, IP acquisition and development and studio facilities – the company has recently opened a TV studio at Carbis Bay in Cornwall. Round World Studios has a slate of feature-length documentary films in development, the first of which is a co-production with ICONIC IMAGES that celebrates the life and work of the late photographer Terry O’Neill.

In the voluntary sector, as a Trustee for 11 years of the Peter Jones Foundation, Eric’s passions for expanding education opportunities for young people and social mobility contributed to the launch of an Enterprise Academy network within the Further Education sector and the creation of two new BTEC qualifications in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. In 2020, he become a member of the Documentary Producers Alliance, a worldwide network of 300 plus producers which sets standards for inclusive, sustainable and equitable business practices in documentary film making.
