Want to be a Film Journalist? Write For us!

Are you an aspiring journalist? Do you have a passion for all things film? We want writers like you! Whether writing is your hobby or you’re looking to expand your broadcasted work we want to see your articles.

Cornwall Film Festival is looking for voluntary written contributions; reviews around 500 words and features no longer than 1000 words on British and World films, the industry and topical Cornish cinema events. Cornwall Film Festival always endeavours to engage with young people and help them find their way in the media industry and this is the perfect opportunity to make yourself stand out in a vastly competitive industry. Not only will you receive experience in an online editorial environment but you will also have the opportunity to expand your reporting portfolio and have your articles promoted via the Cornwall Film Festival social media channels, boosting the audience of your stories.

If there’s an article or review you’d like to contribute, email a copy and your full name and social media links to michael@cornwallfilmfestival with the subject line: [EDITORIAL] followed by your topic. If you are writing a review please don’t forget to give us a star rating to apply. We will accept between 1 and 5 to 1 decimal point. While we can’t publish all the work we receive, if your piece fits the bill you could see it up on the Cornwall Film Festival website.
