Marilyn Monroe, Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis star in Billy Wilder’s classic screwball tale of love, crossdressing jazz musicians and gangsters that topped BBC Culture’s ‘100 Greatest Comedy Films’.

When slick saxophone player Joe and his long suffering buddy Jerry witness the Valentine’s Day gangland massacre, they’re forced to go on the run. Improvising a plan of escape, they disguise themselves as women and join Sweet Sue’s all-girl jazz band on the next train bound for sunny Florida. Joe falls for Sugar Kane (Monroe), the band’s ukulele player, and tries to impress her with stories of wealth and fortune, while Jerry finds himself pursued enthusiastically by a real millionaire. All the while, things are heating up as the mobsters close in.
