Scratch ‘n sniff cinema
Prepare to experience the nation’s favourite stop-motion heroes as you’ve never smelled them before! A brand new Scratch ‘n Sniff cinema event featuring Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, is coming to the Cornwall Film Festival as part of the UK-wide project Anim18: A Celebration of British Animation. From Stinking Bishop to Bunny Burps, immerse your senses in the duo’s first feature-length film from Aardman, complete with giant vegetables, ‘Anti-Pesto’, and a mysterious beast on the loose. Promising olfactory amusement for audiences of all ages.
In this Aardman classic Wallace and his loyal dog, Gromit, set out to discover the mystery behind the garden sabotage that plagues their village and threatens the annual giant vegetable growing contest. After starting a pest control business, the duo soon lands a job from the alluring Lady Tottington to stop a giant rabbit from destroying the town’s crops. Both Wallace and the stuffy Victor vie for the lady’s affections. If Wallace wants to please his pretty client, and bet Victor, he will need to capture that pesky bunny.
Not only will every child be offered a special “scratch and sniff” card to use during the film, they will also be able to attend a workshop before the film starts. Suitable for aged 5-9 and 10 -14 years old.
At this special Scratch n Sniff screening, audience members will be given a scratch card containing ten weird and wonderful odours that link to key scenes within the film. When prompted, viewers will be invited to scratch and sniff the gel odour.
