Cinegi – Venues and Communications Manager

Cinegi are currently recruiting for a Venues and Communications Manager based in Cornwall.

Cinegi Arts & Film is an action research project funded by Arts Council England to test how a digital distribution service can bring arts and cultural content, alongside BFI programming, to new and wider audiences as a shared experience in non-traditional venues and in places offering limited arts infrastructure and engagement. The project will use a public benefit version of the Cinegi platform which provides the secure, digital distribution of filmed media for public exhibition, enabling venues of all kinds, from village hall to pub, from arts centre to high street pop-up, in towns and remote villages to become ’cinemas’.

The service will carry a catalogue of filmed theatre, music and dance from major arts companies to smaller organisations, alongside BFI content. The project will reach audiences across the UK but will have a particular focus on Cornwall and the North East.

This post will be responsible for recruiting and supporting venues, working closely with partner organisations and networks.

We are looking for someone with experience of working with a range of small venues that programme events – theatre, music, dance etc. and/or films, a good knowledge of venues and networks in the South West particularly Cornwall and experience of devising and implementing regional and local communications strategies.

We envisage this would probably be a freelance role. You will need to be able to work remotely and be both self-supporting and a team player. As the Venues and Communications Manager, you will be based in Cornwall but will need to make some visits to the North East and London.

This is a fixed-term contract to February 2018.

Fee – £2,000 per month based on 15 days a month.

To apply please send your CV and a covering letter telling us why you are interested in this post and what you would bring to it to nina@cinegi.com

  • Closing date for applications – 10am Tuesday 4th October.
  • Interviews – 10th October in Penzance, Cornwall.
