BAFTA career surgeries are coming to Cornwall

In association with the BFI Film Academy and BAFTA Cornwall Film Festival are delighted to host a day of BAFTA career surgeries by industry professionals.  

Friday 10 November 11am – 2pm

BAFTA joins the Cornwall Film Festival for an afternoon of workshops with leading industry and craft professionals. In small groups, you’ll get the chance to hear from speakers working across producing, directing, production design and camera who will be on hand to offer tips and advice on how to forge a career in the industry. This event will be followed by a free networking lunch.

Tickets will be prioritised for BFI Film Academy students in the first instance. Please RSVP to events@bafta.org (limited to under 25 years old only) For anyone outside of the BFI Academy programme, an open call  will run from the 30th October, for any free spaces. 

BAFTA is a strategic partner of the BFI Film Academy and delivers a programme of support for BFI Film Academy alumni, including career surgeries at different venues around the UK, a year-long mentoring programme and online masterclasses with BAFTA-nominated talent.

The BFI Film Academy scheme is providing opportunities for talented and committed young people between the ages of 16–19 to develop new skills and build a career in the film industry, no matter where they live or what their background.
