The CFF is Cornwall’s only major film festival event and attracts audiences from across Cornwall as well as from the rest of the UK and abroad. Held in Falmouth for many years in 2011 the festival moved to a large cinema in Newquay. The vision for CFF in 2014 will be to expand to cinema venues throughout the county in a celebration of cinema.

Throughout November CFF will run a curated programme of film events, highlighting excellence in film making screening International festival winners and the best of British. CFF will focus on building and developing diverse audience’s through a year round programme of screening, events and pop-up screenings.

CFF will expand and develop regional, rural community cinemas through the C-Fylm film clubs programme. One of the Cornwall Film Festival recent achievements was in 2013 when film critic Mark Kermode supported CFF by contributing a five-minute promotional video that was filmed and produced locally, choosing his favourite films from the festival programme.

Cornwall Film Festival is a charity governed by a board of trustees while a steering group provides additional support. In 2014 the board appointed new director Louise Fox to create a sustainable creative vision for the future of CFF.
